Concepts & tips

Selecting files

There are three ways: drag & drop files onto the dashed area, click the area and pick files in the dialog (multiple with Ctrl or Shift), or import via the cloud buttons. "Add more files" lets you top up at any time.

Importing from Dropbox and Google Drive

Every upload area has buttons for Google Drive and Dropbox. The file travels directly from your cloud into your browser - not through our servers. On your first Google import, Google asks once for your consent.

Batch processing & ZIP download

Almost all tools process any number of files at once with the same settings. Download results individually - or all together as a ZIP archive with one click.

Preview before download

After processing, each file row shows a thumbnail of the result; clicking it opens the large preview. For rotating and watermarking you even see the effect live on the first image before applying.

Privacy: no upload

The key difference to most online tools: your files never leave your device. All processing runs locally in your browser - there simply is no server your images could end up on. That is also why the tools keep working even on a throttled connection once loaded.

Install as an app

In Chrome and Edge, an "Install app" button appears in the header: BiGimg becomes its own icon on your desktop or home screen and opens in its own window. On iPhone, use Share → "Add to Home Screen".

If something goes wrong

Very large images are limited only by your device’s memory - if you hit problems, process fewer files at once. HEIC conversion takes a few seconds per photo, which is normal. And if your browser cannot create WebP (older Safari), we automatically save as PNG and let you know.
